Sharing through the Power of the Mastermind

Giving Back

June 17, 2007

I have got to head to the gym this morning and tackle a million other things, but not without leaving you with a reflection or two.

We had a real estate investing seminar last Thursday and as usual, I met with people interested in learning about how to secure their financial futures. It’s funny because I am starting to see many of my students coming back to the free seminars, only this time they are bringing other people with them so that they too can learn what is making them so prosperous. Last night was awesome! As promised we had students there who after going through our program shared their success stories where they had made any where from $7000 to $100,000 with what they learned from Colorado Real Estate Secrets! It gets no better than that. At this point in time with everyone doing so well, we never know which testimonials to put on stage, the success stories are more than abundant. Our student who made $19,000 in 3 weeks said it best…. He said, “women sometimes lie and men sometimes lie, but checks do not lie.” I am so excited for him. If he made all that money in 3 weeks using NONE of his own money, I can only imagine where he will be in a year after being with us and our mastermind team. I am so excited!

Do you have any idea how good it feels to have started a program two years ago and have so many people who have their lives changed as a result of what we are teaching? That is powerful and I have spent my whole life wondering how I could make a difference for people. I never knew what to do, but I knew I needed to make a difference in some way. When I realized success as an investor, I wanted for others in our own community to do the same. It is all about giving back and life is absolutely no fun unless you are helping others to realize their dreams as well. I admire every single person who dedicates their life to helping others!

What are you doing to make a difference? Most of us are doing something and even on the smallest level that is all that counts. But remember the better position you are in financially, the more you will be able to help impact the life of someone else. It starts with taking care of you first and then spreading it all around to others.
If you missed the seminar last week, I urge you to register for our next one we are holding by popular demand at the Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs. Come on out June 28th and see more success stories from your own community and find out how you could be the next one. Register now at: www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com or call 800-791-0084.

Time To Unlearn Some Things

June 15, 2007 by warriorwiz

June 15th, 2007

Happy Friday! The sun is shining and the weather is warm! A little sunshine is good for lifting the spirits.

I was speaking to a friend over the weekend and she was talking about all of the things and ideals she was raised with by her parents. It was interesting because she said it has taken her a long time to realize that she actually needs to “unlearn” many of the things she was taught by them. As an adult she now realizes that they were only passing on the concepts they were raised with and that it is just a cycle that goes from generation to generation. I thought about it and actually agreed. Our parents raised us to the best of their ability and we took what they said as gospel simply because well….they were our parents and we are supposed to listen. But as adults now who are able to think for ourselves, I bet we could all come up with some things our parents taught us that we need to “unlearn.” Even down to the simplest stuff.

Let me give you an example on a small level. My dad used to always tell me to just wash my face with Noxema, this started back when I was 12 and had a bout with teenage acne. He told me to forget about all the fancy products and just use Noxema and my bumps would go away. And so when they did go away, I continued to use Noxema. I used it for years and years. After quite some time a friend told me that it was too drying for my skin and turned me onto some excellent new skin care products. My skin began to look better than it ever had. Now while this is a funny example, it goes to show how deeply rooted into what are parents tell us we are! My dad was not a dermatologist, he was an x-ray technologist, so why I continued to use Noxema for all these years listening to him about skin care is beyond me!! LOL
Now while that is a harmless example, think about the misinformation we may have received from our parents that is potentially harmful. And I am not saying it is intentional, it’s just that you don’t know what you don’t know. And as adults we need to unlearn the things that hinder us in any way. The millionaires that belong to my husband’s mastermind group have a common philosophy. While at dinner one night with them, one of them said that they refuse to send their children to college to learn Business from professors who only make about $60,000 per year. I initially thought that was harsh, but then I thought about it. He is a multi-millionaire real estate investor and makes hundreds of thousands of dollars per MONTH. If he can teach his children what he is doing, what would be the real purpose of sending them to school to learn Business Management from people making $60,000 per year? And I am all for education, but I can see where he is coming from. I have a college degree, however my career as an investor has earned me way more money than any job I ever had using my college degree!
Do you have some things you need to unlearn? If so you are not alone, most of us do. If you want to see some people who learned the RIGHT stuff, come on out to our power packed seminar at the Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs. Come on out June 28th and see more success stories from your own community and find out how you could be the next one. Register now at: www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com or call 800-791-0084.

Yes, I can spell

June 14, 2007 by warriorwiz

________________________________________
Paying attention to the important stuff!

June 14th, 2007

We are preparing for another busy real estate investing retreat this weekend. I am so happy because we have people who attended seminars months ago who were afraid to join, but as they keep coming back, watching what we do and all of the success stories we are producing, they are finally calling our offices ready to finally take that step and change their lives. I find that most people who come to our free seminars have tried real estate investing in some shape or fashion before, so I consider our crowds very smart and business savvy. Most have shopped around and attended other seminars, but somehow they feel what we have to offer is what they are looking for. After all, no other program in this area can boast the amount of success our students have had! If I tally up the money made cumulatively by our students since we started, we are over a million dollars in success stories!! I am actually impressed with myself, LOL!!! It is not that our secrets can’t be duplicated! It is that we live these life-changing principles and that is what makes the difference. My husband can make a champion of anyone, he is an inspiration to this community and proof that ANYONE can make a change in their life and attain success. And I can honestly say he has made a champion out of me too, simply by supporting me when I wanted to learn real estate investing and then helping me make my dream of sharing my success with others around the country.

I wanted to take a moment and talk about a paradigm shift. That is a complete change in your thinking from how most of us were brought up. My husband has several businesses and we do the whole investing thing together. Yet both of us do a lot of writing to large lists of people. We sometimes get emails from people telling us to check our grammar before we send stuff out. And trust me, when I was still teaching full time and he was working on his businesses, I was Mrs. Grammar too, always proofreading his stuff and telling him he has a million typos. He would tell me that it didn’t matter and that in the corporate and academic world we are rated on that stuff but not in “his” world. And for a long time I just didn’t get it and thought who would ever take him seriously if he couldn’t even spell or put in the right punctuation. But seeing all his success soon made me change my mind. While I was slaving away at work crossing all my “I’s” and dotting all my “T’s” he was making millions spelling stuff wrong. Fast forward to how I evolved in investing and the thousands of people I now write to….Guess what? I now make a million grammatical errors every day too! I have no time to proofread my writing, the most important thing is that I am getting a message out there. And that message is that I know how to make myself and others life-changing money. So trust me that I know how to spell and I do know the proper uses of punctuation, I graduated from colege school with a 3.6 and held teaching positions both in the Catholic and public schools. But all that got me was a 5% increase every year! So I do know how to spell and write, it’s just that sometimes I frankly don’t have the time to proofread! I’m too busy making money for other people and that has proved to be a better use of my time! The GREAT part is that I knew NOTHING about investing and felt very inferior. But I soon realized how easy it was as long as you had the right mentors and secret information most have no clue about! I have a student who used to email me all the time appalled that I wasn’t proofing my writing or my husband’s writing. That was BEFORE she signed up for class and now we laugh all the time. She now says that she doesn’t care if I can’t spell CAT, all she knows is I have forever changed her financial life!

If you want to learn how that whole paradigm shift works, come on out to our power packed seminar and see people just like you who have joined a whole new world and had their lives changed. Come on out June 28th and see more success stories from your own community and find out how you could be the next one. Register now at: coloradorealestatesecrets.com or call 800-791-0084.

Who Is Taking Care of You??

April 17, 2007 by warriorwiz

April 17, 2007

Still another warm day outside, I love the spring and summer so I am excited. Warm weather naturally lifts the spirits and puts more pep in my step.
I cannot believe it is Tuesday! I have been running from meeting to meeting, answering emails, mentoring students, looking around at some abandoned properties, and a boatload of other things.
Although I stay super busy, and trying to catch up after having been in Cozumel for a week, I am extremely happy. I know that working hard for yourself and working hard to help change people’s lives for the better is very rewarding. So yes, while it can be tiring, it is all for a very good cause.
One thing that we must all do as we get caught up in the day to day aspects of life, is to stop and make sure we take care of ourselves and our needs. While I very much love to take care of others, I realize that I have to make sure I am taken care of first and foremost. I have to be at my personal best to give all I have to offer to others. All of the things we take care of can create a hectic lifestyle, so I have to make sure I do not lose sight of me. And that is not an easy thing to do. So many of us (especially women) try to be superheroes and end up burning ourselves out. So please, please, please, remember to take a moment for YOU! And that means in every aspect of your life!
If you have not yet been to one of my seminars, I urge you to come on out tonight April 17th in Colorado Springs and see how real life people just like yourself have had their lives changed through the power of real estate investing! Register now: www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com
Also, Terry’s monthly Colorado Money Maker’s Meeting is the last Tuesday of every month at the Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs at 6:30pm. If you are a business owner or sales professional, you don’t want to miss his money making strategies that have made him one of Colorado’s top marketing experts. Who Would You Bring With You

April 3, 2007 by warriorwiz

April 3, 2007

Another wonderful Spring day! I am super busy and trying hard to balance everything. I have leads and deals rolling in of my own, not to mention analyzing the deals of my students who are really impressing the heck out of me! Yes we’ve been busy, but thank goodness there is a break coming soon! Cozumel next week! Yippee!
My staff is consistently expanding, and as my mastermind team grows the more support we need to lend. Guess who just came to work for us? One of my old team teachers from my science teaching days! Yippee! We worked together a few years ago when she first came to Colorado and she is perfect for keeping us organized and helping out the entire team. I am so happy to be able to extend this opportunity to her, she has had a burning desire to be around positive people and she is already learning real estate investing through putting in a few late nights with us. Talk about a thirst for knowledge and a serious work ethic! We just keep on getting bigger and better.
When you get into a position to do your own thing, whether it is real estate investing or not, who would you want to bring with you from work? Do you have a favorite fellow employee or assistant that knows your style that you know would help make your new career a breeze? Wouldn’t it be awesome to be in a position to even do that for someone? Not only did I fire my boss, but here I am having my former fellow teacher fire hers too!
If you want to experience that wonderful feeling of being able to give back, I urge you to come on out to my next seminar on April 16th and see how real life people just like yourself have had their lives changed through the power of real estate investing! Are You Sick and Tired Of Being Sick and Tired??

March 30, 2007 by warriorwiz

March 30, 2007

Happy Friday! I hope you are having a great day and I am sure you are looking forward to the weekend.
Do you often feel overwhelmed with the responsibilities of life? I know that I do. My mind often races with all of the things that I need to do each day. As a wife, and a business owner/Investor, you have no idea who crazy my days can be sometimes. I am also a strategic person, so I am always trying to put things in order and I get frazzled when things don’t go according to plan. But more and more I am learning that rarely will anything go according to plan, so I just need to relax and let the chips fall where they may! And I am married to someone who is the exact opposite as me. My husband is so laid back and he rarely gets frazzled by anything. And he is ten times as busy as I am, he owns several businesses, travels all the time and trains students all over the world! In fact, he was just called by the show Mythbusters and asked to catch an arrow again!! And it took him 4 days to call the production people back! People spend their whole lives trying to get on TV or in a movie and here he has people seeking him out and he doesn’t even call back! Now that is one laid back attitude.
But despite being overwhelmed sometimes, it is a good feeling because it all comes from working for myself. When I was overwhelmed at work, it was a totally different ball game and I felt powerless. But I channeled that feeling into working hard to get out of my regular job. I guess my point is that I know how it feels and even more important, you too can put that energy into a positive place. As I watch my real estate investing students develop now, I see the changes they are going through. Not only do we help them technically, but our mastermind group helps reshape their thinking and how they approach business. And they are all doing so well. That is the power of the master mind and the power of belonging to a group of people with similar goals and desires!
Ready to make the transition of being overwhelmed in your 9-5 to being overwhelmed working for yourself and making big money? If so, I highly encourage you to come out to my next seminar, April 16th and hear about the power of real estate investing. Come see real life people just like you who had their lives changed! www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com

Is Life Too Short or Too Long

March 28, 2007 by warriorwiz

March 28, 2007
Is Life Too Short Or Too Long??
I am having one heck of a week and it is only Wednesday! My staff and I have been swamped with assisting people who want to join the boot camp. But that is a good thing, people realize there is some serious money to be made and 2007 seems to be the year of change for everyone!
I am leaving next week to go to Cozumel with some friends to relax and get some down time. I have never been before, but my husband suggested we take a few days spend some time away from phones and email and I thought, who am I to turn an offer like that down! We both have been working hard for our students, so we could use a little fun in the sun!
Lately I have been feeling like I have been getting so much bad news. I have friends and family members who are suffering tragedies. Just yesterday my daughter called and shared the sad news that a close friend of hers died in a snowmobiling accident the day before. He was only 20. Sometimes it just seems to be one thing after another. All of that stuff gets me to thinking hard about life. I know from personal experience that we can think we are healthy because we look fine on the outside and we feel good. Then the next thing you know we can be diagnosed with a terminal disease. We all know that tomorrow is not promised, but when we see things happening to people close to us it hits home a bit more. And so it makes me think about what is important in life and how I want to make my mark. First, I absolutely adore my husband and my daughter. They are a priority in my life and they make me smile. My brother and sister and other family members and friends mean the world to me too. People always say that life is too short to be unhappy, but life is also too long to be unhappy. I want to be able to live the way that I wish and spend time doing the things that make me the happiest. You can’t do that as effectively as you want when you do not control your own schedule. Forty hours a week of meeting someone else’s schedule is not my idea of spending my time the best way possible. Yet that is what I did the majority of my life, until I found real estate investing.
I see many of my students going through the transformation of having freedom and resources to do what they wish as well. And that is my goal for everyone who comes through my program. Everyone deserves to be their own boss and my mission is to assist as many people as possible in the Colorado area do just that!
Ready to be on the path to being your own boss? If so, I highly encourage you to come out to my next seminar, April 16th and hear about the power of real estate investing. Come see real life people just like you who had their lives changed! www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com

Are You Stuck in the Trenches

March 15, 2007 by warriorwiz

Start Digg’in!

I hope you are having a wonderful week! Many people start their weeks with the Monday grind of getting acclimated to get through another work week. I remember that cycle all too well. No matter how many times Monday rolled around, I never quite mastered doing it gracefully. For me, the knots in my stomach would begin on Sunday afternoon, just knowing the weekend was over. That feeling of dread was horrible, and every time I even think about it, even today, I am grateful that I have uncommon choices and although I work on my business, I do not face Monday morning alarm clock.

Today I plan to go and catch a matinee movie or maybe go rent one. Going to the first matinee of the day is one of my favorite things. I get up, Terry and I have coffee together, and since he’s been up working, he can take the rest of the day off and play with me. One that I have been wanting to see is that Will Smith movie he stars in with his son, The Pursuit Of Happiness. It just seems like it will be so good. I’m sure some of you saw it, it came out number one at the box office. But more importantly, I am excited to see a movie that is centered around the theme of not giving up, even when you have hit rock bottom. Story lines like that motivate me to keep pushing and allow me to realize things are not always as bad as they seem. I know there have been times in my life that I thought things were really bad for me, only to be snapped back into to reality when I saw someone else bounce back from a worse predicament than my own. Those are called reality checks and all of us need them from time to time. It’s easy to break down and submit to defeat, but the REAL test of your fortitude comes from pulling out of the trenches and getting back into the swing of things. After all, life does not stop for anyone!

If you want to find your way to financial freedom, dig out from underneath the trenches of debt, and push ahead with the confidence and fortitude to change your future, do yourself a favor and attend my next seminar on March 21st at: www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com Can you really afford not to?

You Don’t Have To Be Perfect

March 11, 2007 by warriorwiz

What is REALLY Important?
March 11, 2007

During our mastermind meeting, several people asked my husband how he manages all the businesses that he has and how he continuously adds new facets to each one. His answer was simple…fast implementation. That is the key to success. We are all taught to make sure we are thorough and that we cross all our T’s and dot all of our I’s. We are taught to check everything that we write for grammatical errors and to edit, edit, edit.

I was the same way. Before I entered into this whole mastermind world with my husband, I spent a lot of time critiquing his work and telling him he didn’t use the correct punctuation or the right word, etc. He used to ignore me and I thought that something must have been wrong with the school systems he went to!! LOL But he later explained that “In his world” that type of stuff just was not important. He said for the types of things he was doing, fast implementation was what his focus was. He explained to me that if he wasted precious time worrying about a misspelling, someone could beat him to the punch and put out a product or service he wanted to put out before him. He said that there is no such thing as perfect and it is better to throw something out there and then clean it up as you go along. Otherwise he would never get his product or services out there because he would be trying to make sure it was perfect. Money is attracted to speed and I saw this first hand. So I guess you know that I no longer spend time trying to make sure everything is “just so”, I am now more interested in JUST DOING IT!

That has proven to be one of the best lessons I could ever learn. And it is philosophies like these that we now teach in our real estate investing mastermind groups. See our model is to make people successful and it takes more than just teaching the technical aspects of investing, it takes a reshaping of the mind and the way we as adults have been taught to do things our whole lives. But that shift in thinking is what ensures success, and sure enough, our most aggressive students are the ones who jump out there and JUST DO IT! They don’t over-analyze things and even though they know they won’t be perfect, getting through the process the first time is what they focus on.

Have you been analyzing things too long? Has over thinking things kept you stuck to the point you never take action? Are you tired of doing that and want to be a part of a group of people who PUSH you to make a change? If so, I URGE you to register for my next FREE seminar on March 21st. Come see real life people just like you who had their lives changed! www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com

If You Keep Doing What You’re Doing, You’ll Keep Getting What You Got

March 9, 2007 by warriorwiz

Complaining Or Changing?
March 9th, 2007

I’m glad the temperatures have gone back up a little bit, it feels like a heat wave outside compared to last week! We have had quite the wild winter so far, have I mentioned that I am so looking forward to spring???

Speaking of complaining, do you find yourself complaining about your current situation a lot? Are you dissatisfied with your job, your weight, your living conditions, or your salary? How much energy are you exerting feeling bad about your circumstances? Is it all you think about? Is it taking over your every thought? Now on the flip side, how much time are you spending on CHANGING your situation? Does that equation make sense to you? By that I mean, are you spending more time complaining or more time changing? If you are spending more time complaining than working on a plan of action to change, then you are not being congruent. And what do you do about that?

You sit down and first realize that you have the ability to change anything you are not satisfied with. And I do not mean that quantum leaps need to be made in one day, but rather small changes in the right direction. You know that great feeling of satisfaction when you go to the gym or work out at home? Isn’t it awesome to know you did what you were supposed to do? I know I get a rush from accomplishing things that are good for me, even the tiniest of things. Since I have been traveling, I have not been drinking the amount of water I should and it shows! My face had been pale and kinda swollen looking when I got up each morning. I looked like I had been hit by a truck, all because I had not had the proper water intake. And as soon as I figured that out, I have been pumping myself with water like crazy and I see the positive effects already. And yes, as small as that may sound, I feel good about it!

When I found myself in a teaching job that I really did not like I did a lot of complaining at first and not enough changing. But when it finally clicked that I needed to take control of my own destiny, I stopped all the complaining and formed a plan of action. First I talked with Terry and we made a plan of action. Next I went to my boss and told him that I would not be able to sell my services to the school district that year after all. (in other words, I quit)That was because the money I was making as an investor in a couple of months, far surpassed what I was making teaching all year! But that change could not come about until I stopped complaining and started CHANGING!

Ready to switch from complaining to changing? If so, register for my seminar, March 21st. Come see real life people just like you who had their lives changed! www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com

Can you really afford not to?

To your success,
Diana
