Are You Sick and Tired Of Being Sick and Tired??

March 30, 2007

March 30, 2007

Happy Friday! I hope you are having a great day and I am sure you are looking forward to the weekend.
Do you often feel overwhelmed with the responsibilities of life? I know that I do. My mind often races with all of the things that I need to do each day. As a wife, and a business owner/Investor, you have no idea who crazy my days can be sometimes. I am also a strategic person, so I am always trying to put things in order and I get frazzled when things don’t go according to plan. But more and more I am learning that rarely will anything go according to plan, so I just need to relax and let the chips fall where they may! And I am married to someone who is the exact opposite as me. My husband is so laid back and he rarely gets frazzled by anything. And he is ten times as busy as I am, he owns several businesses, travels all the time and trains students all over the world! In fact, he was just called by the show Mythbusters and asked to catch an arrow again!! And it took him 4 days to call the production people back! People spend their whole lives trying to get on TV or in a movie and here he has people seeking him out and he doesn’t even call back! Now that is one laid back attitude.
But despite being overwhelmed sometimes, it is a good feeling because it all comes from working for myself. When I was overwhelmed at work, it was a totally different ball game and I felt powerless. But I channeled that feeling into working hard to get out of my regular job. I guess my point is that I know how it feels and even more important, you too can put that energy into a positive place. As I watch my real estate investing students develop now, I see the changes they are going through. Not only do we help them technically, but our mastermind group helps reshape their thinking and how they approach business. And they are all doing so well. That is the power of the master mind and the power of belonging to a group of people with similar goals and desires!
Ready to make the transition of being overwhelmed in your 9-5 to being overwhelmed working for yourself and making big money? If so, I highly encourage you to come out to my next seminar, April 16th and hear about the power of real estate investing. Come see real life people just like you who had their lives changed! www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com

Is Life Too Short or Too Long

March 28, 2007

March 28, 2007
Is Life Too Short Or Too Long??
I am having one heck of a week and it is only Wednesday! My staff and I have been swamped with assisting people who want to join the boot camp. But that is a good thing, people realize there is some serious money to be made and 2007 seems to be the year of change for everyone!
I am leaving next week to go to Cozumel with some friends to relax and get some down time. I have never been before, but my husband suggested we take a few days spend some time away from phones and email and I thought, who am I to turn an offer like that down! We both have been working hard for our students, so we could use a little fun in the sun!
Lately I have been feeling like I have been getting so much bad news. I have friends and family members who are suffering tragedies. Just yesterday my daughter called and shared the sad news that a close friend of hers died in a snowmobiling accident the day before. He was only 20. Sometimes it just seems to be one thing after another. All of that stuff gets me to thinking hard about life. I know from personal experience that we can think we are healthy because we look fine on the outside and we feel good. Then the next thing you know we can be diagnosed with a terminal disease. We all know that tomorrow is not promised, but when we see things happening to people close to us it hits home a bit more. And so it makes me think about what is important in life and how I want to make my mark. First, I absolutely adore my husband and my daughter. They are a priority in my life and they make me smile. My brother and sister and other family members and friends mean the world to me too. People always say that life is too short to be unhappy, but life is also too long to be unhappy. I want to be able to live the way that I wish and spend time doing the things that make me the happiest. You can’t do that as effectively as you want when you do not control your own schedule. Forty hours a week of meeting someone else’s schedule is not my idea of spending my time the best way possible. Yet that is what I did the majority of my life, until I found real estate investing.
I see many of my students going through the transformation of having freedom and resources to do what they wish as well. And that is my goal for everyone who comes through my program. Everyone deserves to be their own boss and my mission is to assist as many people as possible in the Colorado area do just that!
Ready to be on the path to being your own boss? If so, I highly encourage you to come out to my next seminar, April 16th and hear about the power of real estate investing. Come see real life people just like you who had their lives changed! www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com
Bye for now

Are You Stuck in the Trenches

March 15, 2007

Start Digg’in!

I hope you are having a wonderful week! Many people start their weeks with the Monday grind of getting acclimated to get through another work week. I remember that cycle all too well. No matter how many times Monday rolled around, I never quite mastered doing it gracefully. For me, the knots in my stomach would begin on Sunday afternoon, just knowing the weekend was over. That feeling of dread was horrible, and every time I even think about it, even today, I am grateful that I have uncommon choices and although I work on my business, I do not face Monday morning alarm clock.

Today I plan to go and catch a matinee movie or maybe go rent one. Going to the first matinee of the day is one of my favorite things. I get up, Terry and I have coffee together, and since he’s been up working, he can take the rest of the day off and play with me. One that I have been wanting to see is that Will Smith movie he stars in with his son, The Pursuit Of Happiness. It just seems like it will be so good. I’m sure some of you saw it, it came out number one at the box office. But more importantly, I am excited to see a movie that is centered around the theme of not giving up, even when you have hit rock bottom. Story lines like that motivate me to keep pushing and allow me to realize things are not always as bad as they seem. I know there have been times in my life that I thought things were really bad for me, only to be snapped back into to reality when I saw someone else bounce back from a worse predicament than my own. Those are called reality checks and all of us need them from time to time. It’s easy to break down and submit to defeat, but the REAL test of your fortitude comes from pulling out of the trenches and getting back into the swing of things. After all, life does not stop for anyone!

If you want to find your way to financial freedom, dig out from underneath the trenches of debt, and push ahead with the confidence and fortitude to change your future, do yourself a favor and attend my next seminar on March 21st at: www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com Can you really afford not to?

You Don’t Have To Be Perfect

March 11, 2007

What is REALLY Important?
March 11, 2007

During our mastermind meeting, several people asked my husband how he manages all the businesses that he has and how he continuously adds new facets to each one. His answer was simple…fast implementation. That is the key to success. We are all taught to make sure we are thorough and that we cross all our T’s and dot all of our I’s. We are taught to check everything that we write for grammatical errors and to edit, edit, edit.

I was the same way. Before I entered into this whole mastermind world with my husband, I spent a lot of time critiquing his work and telling him he didn’t use the correct punctuation or the right word, etc. He used to ignore me and I thought that something must have been wrong with the school systems he went to!! LOL But he later explained that “In his world” that type of stuff just was not important. He said for the types of things he was doing, fast implementation was what his focus was. He explained to me that if he wasted precious time worrying about a misspelling, someone could beat him to the punch and put out a product or service he wanted to put out before him. He said that there is no such thing as perfect and it is better to throw something out there and then clean it up as you go along. Otherwise he would never get his product or services out there because he would be trying to make sure it was perfect. Money is attracted to speed and I saw this first hand. So I guess you know that I no longer spend time trying to make sure everything is “just so”, I am now more interested in JUST DOING IT!

That has proven to be one of the best lessons I could ever learn. And it is philosophies like these that we now teach in our real estate investing mastermind groups. See our model is to make people successful and it takes more than just teaching the technical aspects of investing, it takes a reshaping of the mind and the way we as adults have been taught to do things our whole lives. But that shift in thinking is what ensures success, and sure enough, our most aggressive students are the ones who jump out there and JUST DO IT! They don’t over-analyze things and even though they know they won’t be perfect, getting through the process the first time is what they focus on.

Have you been analyzing things too long? Has over thinking things kept you stuck to the point you never take action? Are you tired of doing that and want to be a part of a group of people who PUSH you to make a change? If so, I URGE you to register for my next FREE seminar on March 21st. If You Keep Doing What You’re Doing, You’ll Keep Getting What You Got

Complaining Or Changing?
March 9th, 2007

I’m glad the temperatures have gone back up a little bit, it feels like a heat wave outside compared to last week! We have had quite the wild winter so far, have I mentioned that I am so looking forward to spring???

Speaking of complaining, do you find yourself complaining about your current situation a lot? Are you dissatisfied with your job, your weight, your living conditions, or your salary? How much energy are you exerting feeling bad about your circumstances? Is it all you think about? Is it taking over your every thought? Now on the flip side, how much time are you spending on CHANGING your situation? Does that equation make sense to you? By that I mean, are you spending more time complaining or more time changing? If you are spending more time complaining than working on a plan of action to change, then you are not being congruent. And what do you do about that?

You sit down and first realize that you have the ability to change anything you are not satisfied with. And I do not mean that quantum leaps need to be made in one day, but rather small changes in the right direction. You know that great feeling of satisfaction when you go to the gym or work out at home? Isn’t it awesome to know you did what you were supposed to do? I know I get a rush from accomplishing things that are good for me, even the tiniest of things. Since I have been traveling, I have not been drinking the amount of water I should and it shows! My face had been pale and kinda swollen looking when I got up each morning. I looked like I had been hit by a truck, all because I had not had the proper water intake. And as soon as I figured that out, I have been pumping myself with water like crazy and I see the positive effects already. And yes, as small as that may sound, I feel good about it!

When I found myself in a teaching job that I really did not like I did a lot of complaining at first and not enough changing. But when it finally clicked that I needed to take control of my own destiny, I stopped all the complaining and formed a plan of action. First I talked with Terry and we made a plan of action. Next I went to my boss and told him that I would not be able to sell my services to the school district that year after all. (in other words, I quit)That was because the money I was making as an investor in a couple of months, far surpassed what I was making teaching all year! But that change could not come about until I stopped complaining and started CHANGING!

Ready to switch from complaining to changing? If so, register for my seminar, March 21st. Come see real life people just like you who had their lives changed! www.coloradorealestatesecrets.com

Money Is Attracted To Speed!
February 20th, 2007

It used to amaze and scare me to watch my husband Terry make decisions or deals as quickly as he did. It didn’t seem to me that he took the appropriate amount time to determine if and how he should do that deal. What I didn’t realize was that if it is a deal…especially a good deal…it would not last. I needed to be able to recognize and be willing to move on it quickly. I spent time learning real estate investment here in the Springs and I have been known to make a deal to purchase a piece of property over the phone. I have learned the importance of speed.

One of the topics that keeps coming up in our coaching group is over-analyzing things. It is something that I have had to learn to stop myself from doing and it is something that I teach my students to stop doing. I think most humans play life “safely” and we are taught to read all the fine print and look before we leap. And while that is sound advice for some areas of our lives, it can cripple us in other areas when we need to take decisive action in order to be successful. Remember this…Money is attracted to speed. The speed in which we hop on a business or career opportunity can make all the difference on our return on investment. If we wait too long and think too hard on making that life altering career move, someone hungrier and more aggressive than us can sneak up behind and beat us to the punch!

Quick example for you…Do you really think the person who was fed up with how slow the mail was decided to create Fed EX was the first person to come up with that idea? Of course not. But, they WERE the person who actually acted on it and used fast implementation. Imagine how all the other people who “thought” about an idea like Fed Ex felt when it actually materialized. They had to have kicked themselves! My point is that, you cannot over analyze things to death or you will surely miss out on a lot of opportunities in life. I know that I personally missed out on lots of things I wanted to do waiting for the perfect moment….but I now know there is no perfect moment except the one that I create for myself!

If It’s To Be, It’s Up To Me

March 4, 2007

Let’s Get It Right In 2007!

This is going to be the BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE, COME HECK OR HIGH WATER! I am thinking about how we are already into March and we’re off to a good start this year. If you are like me, each year you vow to make it a better one than last, or say “this is going to be a year of change for me.” But often the year goes by and nothing much has really changed. So what is REALLY going to make this a new and more prosperous year for you? What is going to be different about 2007?

I think it is first important to stop and write down the things in your life that may be preventing you from prosperity. And yes, you can be prosperous in spirit and soul which is very important in order to achieve life balance, but I am talking about financial prosperity right now. The ability to elevate the life of yourself and your family so that you can give back to others and affect change. Let’s face it, we all want to help others, but the better position we are in financially ourselves, the more we can do just that!
So why do you fall short of your new goals each year? Do you make excuses and justify your position? Do you think you just don’t have time because of family obligations and work? ALL EXCUSES. There is ALWAYS time to do whatever we want, and if it means getting up an hour earlier to get it done, or going to sleep an hour later, then that is what it takes. What about the exercise program you keep promising yourself you are going to follow, or the meal plan to ensure you are eating healthy to both lose weight and prevent yourself from disease? How long can you go on justifying not taking control?

Don’t let years and years of the same old cycle go by, together let’s make 2007 the REAL year of change. Set your goals, write them down and make some changes to your routine! I am personally about to rev up my work out regimen and take my real estate investing career to a whole new level. There is still so much to learn and do and I am determined to do it!
Join me on the journey to make this the BEST YEAR EVER. Do yourself a favor and attend my next seminar on March 21st at: www..coloradorealestatesecrets.com Can you really afford not to?

To you success,
Diana

Make A Fresh Start

March 2, 2007

Anybody else out there looking forward to spring? I know I am. This is the time of year for me that although I know it is still off a ways, I begin looking for those signs of spring, the first greens, when life renews itself, when there seems to be a fresh start.

A young woman wrote to me last holiday season about a divorce she is going through with her husband. She stated that she can’t remember a great holiday as a family because her husband’s views on marriage and family just differed so much from hers. What really hit home for her though, was the feeling of betrayal she felt from her husband. She said no matter how good of a woman she was, he just didn’t seem to notice or appreciate her for all that she did. In her eyes, he was more concerned with the other people in his life and that is where he put all of his energy. But in the end, she said she felt neglected and betrayed by someone she was supposed to be a team with, but who just plain and simply wasn’t interested in the kind of marriage she wanted. Her email broke my heart because no man or woman should have to feel lonely or pushed aside by their spouse. That is supposed to be the strongest bond there is, but if that bond does not exist, then you have nothing.
The end result was a woman pulling herself together and taking charge of her own life again, and no longer worrying about trying to make someone love her who obviously just was not interested. Rather than focus on the pain, she was looking for a way to start fresh and do something new for herself. She knew real estate investing was a sure route to go, and with the new year right around the corner, she felt this was a great time to delve into it full speed ahead. As she put it, “2007 needs to be the year I focus on myself and stop expecting so much from others because people will always let you down.” Quite frankly, I get several emails from people in this same predicament, both husbands and wives. The one thing they have in common is the desire to push ahead and make the most of their lives.

If you too are looking for a fresh start and want to pick up the pieces of a shattered dream, do yourself a favor and attend my next seminar on March 21st at: www.ColoradoRealEstateSecrets.com Get “Rich-N- Fit” with the Queen! Can you really afford not to?
